What’s going on?

So much on my mind right now. Going back to base tomorrow, gonna be there for 17 days, then come home for the holiday (Jewish new-years). Got a lot to pack, haha.

Anyways, been working very little on TwitGuin this visit home (even though I was out for a longer weekend than usual), guess I didn’t feel like doing it. I still did some progress though, I remodeled the actions a bit (reply/retweet/etc), they’re easier to use now; I also added favoriting/unfavoriting through them for those tweets you just gotta remember. As for favorites view, I didn’t do that yet, but I will next time. I was just too lazy to conjure new icons. I also added 2 new color codes: orange for retweets and pink for favorites.

What I’ll be working on for the next milestone is:

  1. Favorites view
  2. Rework the whole menu on top – change the buttons a bit and add a menu for more options. Yeah, this space isn’t going to be enough for lists, favs, etc.
  3. Work more on colors
  4. Home page
  5. Complete DMing (btw you can send DMs already)
  6. Add indicator icons for retweets, favorites, replies etc. I also have to find an apropriate spot for them (ideas are more than welcome)

Like I said, I’d love ideas and opinions so far. Don’t forget this is in early stages so there’s a lot to work on.

You can try TwitGuin out by going to http://wosaic.net/twitguin and logging in. Please contact me any way you see fit if you have anything to say about it.

What do you think so far?

TwitGuin Progress

So! TwitGuin is almost finished. Right now all I have left for the Alpha is submitting DMs, and a few redirecting fixes on updating/Retweeting. You can still take a peak, if you really want! TwitGuin pre-alpha Things left for the beta are mainly cuatomizations such as font size and colors. Stay tuned for progress. Tweet

Finger-friendly Twitter client: coming soon to a box office near YOU!

Howdy ho, people. I’m glad to say that I’ve finally mastered Twitter’s OAuth (thanks to Abraham William’s TwitterOAuth and this fine man’s tutorial), and that means I’m in the making of a small, useful web-based Twitter client: TwitGuin. That’s right!!! I’m goddamn fusing the Twitter bird with a Penguin D: So what will TwitGuin offer? Well

End of the vacation

Tomorrow’s the last day I have free — this Sunday I’ll be omw to base in the morning. Which sucks bad. I really wish I could continue working on web stuff, but for now I can’t. Maybe next month I’ll be able to bring my laptop to the base, but I’ll have to see how

Archived old tutorials

I realized a lot of the search results and common search queries redirect to my old tuts. So as to not disappoint any readers, I put the tutorials back. They’re not shown on the front page, but you can access them through their categories, and they’re all placed in the “Archive” category. Enjoy! Tweet this

Starting out?

Don’t have a lot of time on my hands, since I’m going back to base this Sunday, but I’m giving this a shot. I’m resurrecting an old project, and hopefully I’ll be able to show something by the end of the week. I have a lot of work to complete, though! Tweet this post Share

Day 5.

I got 10 days off from the military, in light of finishing my basic/advanced training courses. So far what I did in my time off was party, beach, see my dad, tried a bit shopping, continually attempted to: Hack my PSP (3000, 6.30. No hope for me), install a GBA emulator on my S60v5 cellphone

Some stuff in mind.

Just coming to say that I have some projects that I want to work on. One of them is a resurrection of a previous idea and the other is a cheese grader that I hope to make better than all previous websites of the same type. What are the projects, you ask? Well, I’ll only

A fresh start.

So I decided to completely remake my blog. There are a few reasons I did this. First, it was old and hasn’t been updated in months (ever since I got drafted, tbh). Second, the only project I had there was pretty lame. I want to put new projects in this now, next month I’ll have
